What a clever video. I learned a few things that I didn't know. For example, only the copyright owner has permission to use his work. All others must pay to prevent copyright infringement. Many works can be copyrighted, such as plays, music, dance, movies, and pictures. I did not know that the copyright lasts for only a fixed amount of time. 14 years in most instances. Just enough time for the owner to make money off of the work. After the 14 years have past, the work goes into the public domain to be used by anyone for free. How do you know what is copyrighted and what is in the public domain?
It's actually longer now - 14 years was the original time when copyright first began, according to the video.
